About

Diana Svensk is a ceramic artist working at the intersection of contemporary craft and alternative firing practices. Her work centers on pit, saggar, and wood-based firings using locally sourced and foraged materials, where flame, smoke, and atmosphere act as active collaborators. Moving between porcelain and earthenware, she explores the tension between precision and unpredictability, pairing contemporary surface techniques such as underglaze illustration with historically rooted, outdoor firing methods.

Alongside her studio work, she values collective making and develops community-based projects that engage shared firing, ritual, and knowledge exchange as embodied forms of connection and resistance.
